It's mid July and with the halfway point of the year already gone, WHoArtNow is preparing for 2009. For 2009, the key inspiration is Nature and the Environment as the world starts going Green. Featured in this article are the predictions for the interior market and all 4 styles have taken a lot from this inspiration.

'Oriental Sweetness'

Oriental Sweetness is the classic oriental feel. Flat two tone colours mixed with the soft and gentle oriental floral and organic images. Japanese textiles and light colours add a warm and inviting space, that's also practical. Over the last 4 years WHoArtNow has seen a constant popularity of Oriental inspired canvas art and for 2009, its expected to grow.

Oriental Sweetness

'Timeless Curve'

Timeless Curve is a complicated hybrid mix of some classic ideas. Baroque motifs feature heavily, especially when matched to blacks and whites and with some abstract art to add colour. Timeless Curve is great for all things Kitsch, mainly furniture, yet you can get away with some unique artwork too, anything vintage and classic (such as vintage pin up or wallpaper) works wonders to add the timeless feel.

'Lets Play'

For the fans of bright and bold colours, Lets play is for you. Mixing the more classic folk design with modern colours.Ideal for relaxing and play areas, outrageous geometric shapes add definition to the colour. Can also work well for inspiration in the office or study.

Lets Play

'Handmade'

The name says it all! Handmade is dedicated to all things made by hand. Rustic and natural colours combined with classic rustic and rural furniture adds a level of homely and timeless. Work in interesting textures and textiles to heighten all the senses and if used correctly, recycled goods adds a level or personality.

Handmade

As the year draws to a close, and next year looms ever closer, WHoArtNow will be creating some artwork inspired by these predictions to help create your perfect interior for 2009 including some specials by our resident street artist Frazier Boyd.
